Universal Sensor Technology
The 
Data Module is supplied with a unique feature,
the Universal Sensor, engineered to improve the overall accuracy of the float level reading and flexibility of installation for field personnel.
The sensor is mounted directly to the float gauge head (underneath the site dial) to read the float gauge's internal magnet directly. The
sensor is designed to fit both Junior™ and Senior™ style gauges and can be modified by field personnel to fit most float gauge apparatus.
Benefit:
Reading the position of the magnet that is coupled directly to the float gauge mechanism eliminates any inaccuracies associated with the site
dials' tendency to stick or become frozen. Most tank monitors offered to the delivered fuel industry supply a sensor that reads the position
of the site dial, not the actual position of the float gauge magnet, this is considerably less reliable. In fact with the
Data Module no site dial is required at all.
