by the Propane Company that displays the tank fuel level, outside / inside temperature and time. Similar in appearance to a common
thermostat, it is welcomed by customers to monitor their current energy supply.
Benefit:
Customers benefit by being able to monitor their own fuel usage from within their home. This can be particularly useful when access to the fuel tank sight dial is inconvenient or may be limited due to weather. The Propane Company benefits by having a device in the customer premises with their company contact information that supplies fuel usage data. The Gateway is available at a cost point that allows this technology deployment to all customers.
Feature At Work:
Intelligent Propane has Tank Monitors and Gateways installed for routed and will call customers within its service area. Deliveries
to routed customers are scheduled based on an accurate forecast derived from detailed historical usage data and the actual amount of fuel
currently in customer's tank. The System forecast
the optimum time to make a delivery for all tanks including will call customers.
can flag will call customers for review when they need a delivery as a tool to make proactive calls. This provides Intelligent
Propane a opportunity to call the customer to get a new order and include the delivery in a routed schedule. The will call customer wants
to place a order because the Gateway display confirms the fuel level is low, Intelligent Propane sales personnel gets the order
and schedules a fuel delivery. Intelligent Propane sales personnel easily confirm and release the order from the
system for delivery on the next scheduled route.
